Love & Judgment or Those Darn Democrats/Repuplicans

Today I woke up and realized that I was missing that “new relationship energy.”  You know… when you wake up and the sun is shining extra bright that day, the birds are singing a glorious song, and the whole world just sparkles a little brighter.  Your heart feels like it’s about to burst because there is so much joy and excitement inside you… usually because of a new love interest.  Well, I miss that.

Sadly, “new relationship energy” always fades.  S/He starts to do things that annoy you.  Then the fighting starts.  Then… you either work through it or you divorce citing irreconcilable differences.  Sometimes you just fall out of love.  Wait.. What?  How can you “fall out of love?!”

I saw a graphic T-shirt once that stated, “Jesus loves you and I’m trying!”  I was surprised at how much that shirt affected me; how much I hated that shirt and what it said.  Yes, I know that the person was just trying to say that she was trying to be like Jesus.  But the way I immediately look it was that she was to busy judging me to love me.  Check out Mathew 22:36-40

Doesn’t that verse mean that we are to love others as we want to be loved?  Love me, don’t Judge me!  Check out Mathew 7: 1-3

Jesus commands us to LOVE people.  Don’t judge them.  Don’t try and change them.  Don’t tell them that they have to be this way, and not that way.  Just LOVE them.  The way they are, with all their little annoying schmoos and weird behaviors. After all,  Isn’t that what WE want for OURSELVES??

When have you ever been able to change someone by nagging, bitching, or complaining to them?  The only thing that can change someone is LOVE.  Love them the way they are, without judgement and let God do the changing.  He will take care of it in HIS time, not yours.

So… heres the thing: LOVE IS ALREADY INSIDE OF US!!  It’s not accessible only when a certain someone lights our fire, its there, all the time!  It is waiting for you to let it out everyday without judgement as to who is worthy of your love and who isn’t.  Our work here is to learn to love everyone, unconditionally.

When the new relationship energy fades, that’s when you have to dig deep, find the love that is *already* within you and let it out.  Don’t expect it to come from someone else.  Its there, inside you. “You've always had the power my dear, you just have to learn it yourself.”

And that, dear human, is our greatest life lesson: Love everyone. Serve everyone. Feed people. Remember God.

And might I add:  Don’t judge them.  For if you are to busy judging them, you aren’t loving them.

PS:  Holy cow.  1Corinthians 13…. The love verses.  I just looked it up to get the verse right and reread it.  Here lately, I have changed my Bible translation because I have come to realize that man has corrupted many translations of the Bible.  When you read the KJV, it has very subtle differences that completely change the meaning!

Take for example: 1Corinthians 13.  We’ve been taught that this is the LOVE CHAPTER.  15 examples in which LOVE is the greatest action in which we can engage.  But wait!  KJV doesn’t say LOVE, it says CHARITY.

Charity.  Lets look at the definition.  1.  benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity.  2.  lenient judgment of others.

Whoa!  “Lenient judgement of others.”  That one word completely changes the chapter.  Give your neighbor charity.

Lets think about that in terms of todays divisions: Politics.  If you try and LOVE that person on the other side, well, isn’t it easy to continue to feel the hardness in your heart towards that person?  But give that person CHARITY… it evokes a whole different feeling.  Charity makes you realize that they are weighing the options, searching for answers just like you.  They have researched and listened just like you, only they have come up with a different answer.  And their answer isn’t right or wrong, just as yours isn’t right or wrong; just different.  CHARITY acknowledges this and gives grace to them.  It allows a tenderness in your heart towards them.  Dare I say, a LOVE towards them.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Homemade Laundry Soap

This recipe makes a large amount.  Store it in a 5 gallon bucket.  You should be able to find all of these items at WalMart.

The three main ingredients found in all recipes are the Borax, Washing Soda, and the grated Fels-Naptha or Zote soap. The other two listed here, the baking soda and the Oxy Clean, are optional.

1 4 lb 12 oz box Borax (2.15 kg or 76 oz) found in the detergent isle
1 4 lb box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (1.81 kg) found in the cooking isle

1 box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 55 oz (3 lb 7 oz) found in the detergent isle

3 bars of Fels-Naptha soap, found in the detergent isle, finely grated.

2 small containers of Oxy Clean or store brand Oxy Clean (try to get about 3.5 lbs total (1.58 kg)) found in the detergent isle.  (optional)

You can use pink Zote soap instead of Fels-Naptha.  You can find Zote at Home Depot.  (I've also seen people use Ivory soap, Irish Springs for a nice fragrance, and dove)

**Use 1-2 Tablespoons per load. I know that does not seem like enough but this recipe does not have fillers like the store bought detergent so you only need 1-2 Tablespoons.**

This detergent is fairly mild smelling, it is not over powering. If you love a strong scent you may have to add a fabric softener to each load.

The recipe above makes a very large amount and will last a long time... about 9 months.

To make a smaller batch, follow this recipe:

1 C. Borax
1 C. Washing Soda
1 bar of the soap, shaved

Mix together throughly.  Use 1 T. per load.  If you have a front loader, then add it to the drum.  Store in a 32 ox container with a lid.

Taken from this website:  http://www.diynatural.com/homemade-laundry-detergent-soap/  :

High Efficiency (HE) Washers

HE front-load washers require “special soap” for one reason alone – low suds. Because they use less water, they require soap that is less sudsy. The good news is, this homemade detergent is VERY low suds. The ”special” HE detergent is just another advertising mechanism to push consumers to buy “special soap” for unnecessarily high prices.
Regardless of your washer type, just make your own in confidence.

Safe for septic tanks and fields

This is the best laundry soap to use with septic tanks because it contains zero sodium and zero fillers (like montmorillonite clay) that cause commercial powder detergents to clog lines. It is also completely non-toxic so it will not harm necessary septic bacteria like toxic detergents and antibacterial soaps. Use with confidence.

The thing I like about this recipe is that you can make it very inexpensively and if you wanted to put a batch back for "emergency use" it would keep very well... just leave out the Oxy Clean if you intend to store it.
